Have a Cool Weekend.

June 22, 2012

A few of you have emailed me to say you’ve missed these Friday posts and I’m secretly glad because I really like writing them. June has been spectacularly busy and I’m looking forward to a quieter, more chilled out July and August.

We’re off on a short holiday today with my brother and sister-in-law – I’ll be back here with a recipe to share in a week or so, no doubt, but for now it’s family time. Here are some fun posts from around the web…

A tall, cool glass for summer.

Get thee to the market.

This has summer party written all over it.

Depressing…and kinda gross.

My favourite kind of pasta.

Behold the summer drinks generator.

Perfect for making your own banh mi.

Speaking of pickling.

Gorgeous cake and a gorgeous sentiment.

What do you have in store for the weekend? I’m very excited to be going to this conference to hang with a lot of lovely food people and learn some stuff. Here are some great posts from around the web…

My new favourite blog.

Gorgeous, lovely carrot recipes.

Rolo cheesecake bars. Yeah.

These really are perfect.

A bold move.

An unarguable truth: food always tastes better when it’s come off somebody else’s plate.

A different kind of grilled cheese.

Can’t wait til August.

Beautiful.

I’m traveling a lot this month and have family visiting from the U.K. so posting here will be much lighter. I’m sure I’ll be excited to get back into it come July but for this month, some down time will be glorious. Enjoy the start of summer!

Have a Lovely Weekend.

Hello friends! I’ve been traveling out of state this week for work so haven’t had much time for cooking and sharing with you guys. I’m looking forward to the long weekend (it’s Memorial Day in the States) and some relaxing. Here are some great posts from around the web…

This is such a cool video on how to make Vietnamese coffee.

A lovely looking rhubarb fool (with cardamom cream!).

An American food road trip. Awesome.

Five grain salad recipes.

The new generation of foodies.

Blueberry hand pies sound perfect for a party.

This is so bad.
