have a fabulous weekend.

April 13, 2012

Happy Friday! What does the weekend hold in store for you? It’s been a busy, fun week of get-togethers, theatre-goings, and chopping all my hair off (!), and the weekend promises to be just as busy. Here are some fun links from around the web…

The perfect weekend breakfast fare.

Tagliatelle with Poppy Seeds and Prosciutto.

I love me a good healthy salad recipe.

Holy cow.

The perfect Spring appetizer.

I think Dan would marry me all over again if he ever came home to this.

Simple, fresh, and hearty.

Fancy grilled cheese.

Doesn’t this just scream spring to you?

How to eat a full English breakfast. (Also.)

Loves, how has your week been? Do you have fun plans for the weekend? I have not one, but two brunches planned with friends and a fun dinner out with an out-of-town friend. We’re going to Pizzeria Lola which I’ve been dying to visit for ages. I already know I’ll be ordering the Korean BBQ pizza and their house-made vanilla soft serve ice cream with extra-virgin olive oil and fleur de sel. I can’t wait! Here are some interesting and fun links from around the web…

Crispy, creamy saag paneer.

Foodie-ism as youth culture.

If you buy tomatoes at the grocery store/supermarket then you should watch this short film.

The combination of flavours in this cake sounds so lovely and intriguing.

Cameras at the table: snapping point? (Guilty!)

Ridiculous photography as ever (this pizza in particular stopped me in my tracks).

The top ten most overrated health foods.

Ahh it’s almost time for hot cross buns!

have a relaxing weekend.

March 23, 2012

We’re heading out of town for the weekend and I plan on doing some solid relaxing while we’re gone. I hope you get to do the same. Perhaps you’ll pour a generous glass of wine (or three) for yourself and make my bolognese? I’d be chuffed to bits if you did! Here are some fun posts from around the web…

The best banana bread you’ll ever have (with bourbon and chocolate chunks).

Preserved lemons sound like something I want to spend my time making.

Talking of lemons (when am I not?) these doughnuts look ridiculous.

Can it be more ethical to eat meat? Such an interesting debate.

Sweet and salty bars. Yum.

Treat yourself right: corona beans with braised kale.

I was gifted a jar of this kumquat marmalade for my birthday and it.is.divine.

All you ever wanted to know about food combining.

My idea of heaven.
